The Parliamentarians, especially of the Left, who today say they are confronting misogyny, who say they are protecting women, when we voted this year on a bill that hardened penalties in relation to rapists and femicide perpetrators, voted against it.

One of the proposals of our party is a new Constitution, on several points, but one of them is the toughening of criminal laws, including life imprisonment for femicide perpetrators and life imprisonment for rapists, agendas that once again unfortunately do not have the support of a large part of this Plenary, including the defenders of this project that we are voting on now.
Mr. President, there is a case I want to cite that occurred this week.
