Thank you, Fernanda; greetings to you, to Rafael, to Wilson and to everyone following us across this entire TMC group, not only in São Paulo but throughout Brazil.

Well, since we have 21 minutes for the interview, I'll ask you to be concise so we can cover several topics.

Why do you want to be a senator and what will be the main priority of your term?

About: represent and give voice to voters in the National Congress
Well, I want to be the voice of São Paulo.
São Paulo is the engine of Brazil.
If São Paulo does well, Brazil does well.
When São Paulo does poorly, Brazil feels it first.
São Paulo is the state that produces the most, that generates the most employment and income.
And I believe that, because of my background, I have experience; I have been a senator, I have been a mayor for two terms. I feel this lack of representation in São Paulo to the point of seeing that, while Brazil grew 2.5% last year, São Paulo only grew 0.5%.

About: strengthen autonomy and financing of municipalities
I am a municipalist by nature; I want to be a senator to open the doors of my office to the 645 municipalities, regardless of party affiliation, because it is in the municipalities that people live.

And I want, obviously, to bring resources for infrastructure works, investments, addressing some problems that are very serious; I will just name them due to time constraints.

In general, if I were to analyze it overall, public security, without a doubt.

When rumors began that you would be a candidate for the Senate here in São Paulo, last year you answered, my state is Mato Grosso do Sul.

Now you are a candidate for the Senate here in São Paulo, asking São Paulo voters for eight years in the Senate.

Your relationship with the people of São Paulo, with São Paulo, or the electoral opportunity?
Wilson, in 2022 I was a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic and the State that welcomed me the most, that gave me the most votes proportionally — because numerically, of course, it had to be São Paulo, which is Brazil's most populous state — but proportionally, far ahead of the others, was the State of São Paulo.
In an absolutely polarized election, I had here almost 10% of the votes in the capital.
In an election in which we had candidates who had already been... presidential candidates several times.
The proposals I presented were proposals that pleased the State of São Paulo a lot.
So when I saw that São Paulo welcomed me, having a history with São Paulo, not only from my grandparents who arrived as immigrants from Lebanon, but I studied in São Paulo, I did a master's degree in São Paulo, I am married to a Paulista from Birigui, I have been with him for 37 years, my daughters have lived here for 10 years, I pay taxes in São Paulo, I own property.

To give you an idea, in January 2023, when São Paulo suffered that natural disaster affecting the coast of the Baixada Santista, the north coast of Ilhabela, passing through Ubatuba, Guarujá, anyway, I was in Guarujá and quickly helped to assist and we sought resources.
