Disaster Relief

To give you an idea, in January 2023, when São Paulo suffered that natural disaster affecting the coast of the Baixada Santista, the north coast of Ilhabela, passing through Ubatuba, Guarujá, anyway, I was in Guarujá and quickly helped to assist and we sought resources.

We sent humanitarian aid here in the first hours, because we needed to take care of people, people who were displaced.

So we sent mattresses here, we sent blankets here, we sent clothes here, we sent cases of water here, we sent basic food baskets here.

Speaking of resources, we had declarations of emergency by the municipalities, some of them already with the emergency recognized, others will have the emergency recognized immediately, so that we can... release resources on an emergency basis for reconstruction.

Visit people, continue sending humanitarian aid and send resources for reconstruction.

We intend to visit the most affected municipalities and we will continue this assessment of the damage and its extent so that we can... restore normality as quickly as possible.

In this moment of emergency, I saw the announcement made by the president through a provisional measure that responds to the appeals of Paraíba, and I also sought within our coordination to see what we will be able to do through the state government, but also directly in assistance to the municipalities.

and I secured, governor, together with the Ministry of Health, 'A estreia da agricultura', a resource obtained by us, so that we can, at this moment, for each affected municipality, provide assistance with machinery.
