Mr. President, I want to publicly thank Your Excellency for having collaborated, having served as President of the CCJ last year, and now as President of the Federal Senate, in securing the approval of Bill 4,809 of 2024.

This is the package against violent crimes which, in my view, is the project with the greatest impact on public security that this Congress could undertake in the last decade, because it encompasses a series of initiatives, some already pending as bills in this House.
