During the Constituent Assembly, it was decided that Brazil, as the advanced country we dreamed it would be, would have paternity leave.
Tabata Amaral: At that time, it was not for the Constitution to specify how long that leave would be.
Tabata Amaral: Therefore, it was established that, until Congress approved a law regulating paternity leave, the period would be 5 days.
