Marcos Rogério: And when we talk here about fitting the legal criteria, it is because, under the law that deals with these conditions for the extradition process between Brazil and Italy... among the criteria is the motive.
If the motive is political—some form of political persecution of a legal nature—extradition is prohibited under that provision between the two countries.
Marcos Rogério: But there is a central point that needs to be debated.
Marcos Rogério: Are we facing an ordinary criminal or someone who made public information of collective interest, information of interest to Brazilian society?
