Tabata Amaral: And in the coming weeks, we will have Deputy Pedro Campos doing very difficult work: reviewing all these bills, assessing the urgency we have to protect our families, while taking on the responsibility of making a transition that does not weigh too heavily on people's finances, and producing a text that can meet the needs of this entire Plenary.
Tabata Amaral: So the appeal I make to each of Your Excellencies, regardless of political party, is that we move forward united, that we cast this protective vote for families and early childhood, and that we fulfill our mandate.
The STF (Supreme Federal Tribunal) gave a deadline, which has already expired, for the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate to regulate paternity leave.
Tabata Amaral: I commend our President, Deputy Hugo Motta, who is the first President to look to this constitutional mandate, to look to the protection of children and families through paternity leave, but I call on each and every one of Your Excellencies: let us not wait another 35 days, and 5 days is far too little.
Tabata Amaral: This is a very important step so that we can say: it is by strengthening families, by investing in these families, that our Brazil will advance socially and economically.
