Sérgio Moro: But if that investment — as was revealed at the public hearing — did not generate an improvement in service quality for the consumer and, on the contrary, there was an increase in consumer complaints about the quality of that service, how can such high adjustment percentages be justified by that investment?
Sérgio Moro: Let us not confuse the debate here either. Copel was privatized, and the debate is not about an opposition between a state company and a private company.
The fact is that the company, even privatized, remains obligated to provide quality service to the people of Paraná.
Sérgio Moro: On the contrary, with Copel's privatization, what we expect is an efficiency gain that results not in higher profits and dividends for shareholders, but in higher quality of the service provided by Copel.
Sérgio Moro: We are concerned because we know that, beyond the current difficult moment, we have to look to the future, and the future of the economy is the digital economy, information technology, the use of data centers — which do need a high level of power supplied in a stable and renewable manner.
