Sérgio Moro: Some advances, yes, but it was a demand coming from the population, from society, and the Government, wanting to take advantage of that demand, finally presented a bill after much debate within the Ministry of Justice itself.
Sérgio Moro: Let us remember that the Government began in 2023, but it was only in 2026, this year, that that bill was finally presented.
And its final version, much better than the original, was the product of the opposition's hands.
Sérgio Moro: So, the public security agenda belongs to the opposition and is not really that of the Lula Government, which has always been against any kind of hardening, whether when it was in opposition to the Government I was part of, or afterwards, now with the Government in the hands of the PT itself and Lula.
Sérgio Moro: And nothing illustrates this fact more than Lula's unusual reaction when the U.S. government, at the request of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, designated Comando Vermelho and the PCC as terrorist organizations.
