Sérgio Moro: I have many reservations regarding this Selective Tax, but I am mindful that it is intended, especially, for products that are harmful to health.
I do not understand the rationale of charging this Selective Tax on automobiles, which are a consumer good that Brazilians use.
Sérgio Moro: Of course one can, eventually, question the pollution generated by vehicles, but, in any case, people will not stop buying cars because of that, and the tax burden on vehicles is already very large.
Sérgio Moro: In short, vehicles were left in the PEC as subject to the imposition of the Selective Tax.
