Sérgio Moro: For example, as discussed there, an individual is removed from office in the first year of the term – and sometimes may be removed for a just reason, but sometimes may be removed unjustly, as happened to our former colleague Federal Deputy Deltan Dallagnol – and has to wait until the end of the term in order to then start counting the eight-year period.
Sérgio Moro: There were situations there that were subject to adjustment, without saying that one was opening the floodgates to illicit conduct itself.
And, in the part that mattered most, which concerns those who commit serious crimes, including crimes against the public administration – all of them – the current rules were maintained.
