And, suddenly, the cases that were underway, the investigations that were underway, even proceeding correctly in the first instances, were all taken to the STF (Supreme Federal Tribunal), based on an alleged prevention in the office of Minister Dias Toffoli, which did not exist — it was recently decided that it did not exist.
Sérgio Moro: The investigations remained, during that period, paralyzed. So there was a situation in which, gradually, that scandal was being set aside, away from the news, with the investigations paralyzed because of that procedural maneuvering.
Sérgio Moro: At the same time, once the installation of the CPMI (Parliamentary Inquiry Commission) had been approved, there was a movement by the Government to control it, so that it would be a friendly CPMI, so that it would be a CPMI that would not advance deeply into these investigations.
