Rodrigo Pacheco: Mr. President, Senator Eduardo Gomes, my compliments to Your Excellency, my compliments to my fellow Senators, to my colleague Senator Damares Alves.
Rodrigo Pacheco: I bring just a brief announcement that is of great importance to the State of Minas Gerais, to all of us, men and women from Minas Gerais.
I have just left a meeting with Minister Fernando Haddad, Brazil's Finance Minister, accompanied by the Government Leader, Senator Jaques Wagner, to discuss a matter that was still pending but in which, fortunately, we were able to obtain a determination from the Ministry of Finance, concerning a very significant loan from the NDB, the development bank linked to the BRICS, chaired by former President Dilma Rousseff, which allocates to Minas Gerais, through the Bank of Development of Minas Gerais, US$200 million for the Bank of Development of the State of Minas Gerais to apply in municipalities of Minas, especially in small and medium-sized municipalities, in projects specified for the well-being of the populations of each of those municipalities, and also for small and micro-entrepreneurs.
Rodrigo Pacheco: It is a very large, very significant sum, resulting from a manifestation of political will, as well as, obviously, technical criteria, on the part of former President Dilma Rousseff, who is a native of Minas and who took care to secure this achievement in favor of our state.
Rodrigo Pacheco: So, my recognition and my thanks to former President Dilma Rousseff and also to the board of the Bank of Development of Minas Gerais, who participated in the meeting this afternoon — both President Gabriel and Director Edmilson — who were there with Minister Fernando Haddad to ensure approval by the Ministry of Finance, now pending the dispatch from the Chief of Staff's Office to this Federal Senate, when we will certainly approve this loan — very important, I repeat — for the State of Minas Gerais.
