Kim Kataguiri: Mr. President, I am here with Mateus Batista, who is my friend, my colleague from the Movimento Brasil Livre, a City Councillor in Joinville; I would like to thank him and welcome his presence, as he came today to participate in a public hearing of the Commission on Finance and Taxation regarding Bolsa Família.
One concern he has seen a lot in Santa Catarina is traffickers taking these benefit cards and homeless people being held hostage by those traffickers, using this benefit to buy drugs when, in reality, it should be an instrument to confront poverty and combat misery.
Kim Kataguiri: He brought this concern to me, and I brought this concern here to the Chamber of Deputies, because it is a problem that also greatly affects my State, the State of São Paulo, the city of São Paulo and the São Paulo Metropolitan Region in general.
