It's the second time we've put forward our ticket for... for the presidential candidacy.
The first was in 2022 with Léo Pericles, and I was the vice-presidential candidate on that ticket.
About: guarantee political representation of Black women in institutions
And now our idea was to put forward a working woman, a Black woman, because that's the face of the Brazilian people.
If we had to define the Brazilian people, it would be a Black woman, because we are mostly women, mostly Black people.
So the idea was to present that and to represent the working class.
I work in the SUS; I'm a dentist in the Family Health Strategy in Rio Grande do Norte.
I was born in Minas Gerais, but today I'm already a naturalized Northeasterner and I live in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, where I raised my family.
I'm a mother of two.
And I've been active since the secondary school movement, in the student movement; later I was women's director of the União Nacional dos Estudantes, active in the social movement, in the struggles in neighborhoods, islands and favelas, in the Olga Bernário women's movement, and in the Frente Negra Revolucionária, which was the last movement we built.
Thus, I became a woman active in social movements and in the struggles of political organizations.
I was also elected national vice-president of Unidade Popular, which is the position I hold today within the party, and I received this task with joy but also with enormous responsibility to be Unidade Popular's spokesperson now in the pre-candidacy for President of Brazil.
