Well, the fight against organized crime today is Partido Missão's main agenda and would be one of my main platforms in the candidacy for governor of the State.
First, I believe there has never been such a feeling of insecurity in the State of São Paulo and in Brazil as now.
About: increase penalties and imprisonment of criminals
Recently I approved a bill in the Chamber of Deputies, which has already been sanctioned and is law today, increasing penalties for petty theft and receiving stolen goods.
So my commitment to the agenda and my ability to deliver results on this agenda I demonstrate with my own work here in the Chamber.
About: interrupt the statute of limitations if a convicted person escapes
Just yesterday I approved urgency for a bill that interrupts the statute of limitations in the case of an escaped convict, which is unthinkable — it seems obvious.
If a person escapes, the State should have the right to find them and punish them at any time.
Today it doesn't.
Today a prisoner gets out of jail and if he escapes for long enough, depending on the crime he committed, evidently the State loses the power to punish him.
In other words, he remains free forever.
And even if he turns himself in and says, 'look, I was the one who escaped from prison, I committed that crime,' since the crime has prescribed he can no longer be punished.
About: integrate artificial intelligence and technology into public security
Regarding the government of the State of São Paulo, I think, first, that it's necessary to integrate cameras with artificial intelligence throughout the State.
Because today we have systems in which cameras recognize car and motorcycle license plates that are clean or that have been stolen, but that is not enough to combat the main crime that affects us today in the State of São Paulo, which is robbery.
We need to have facial identification of the individual.
The experience we have in the city of São Paulo with Smart Tampa, which other cities have also adopted — as is the case of São Caetano and Itaia Tuba — was very successful in using artificial intelligence to carry out facial recognition.
About: integrate the state security system with the Cortex system of the Ministry of Justice
And I also believe there should be integration between the security system, the Secretariat of Public Security of São Paulo, and the Cortex system, also from the Ministry of Justice, so that all organized crime leaders who already have arrest warrants issued can no longer enter or leave the State of São Paulo.
Because since we have some cities that have this system and others that do not, criminals basically leave the cities that have it in order not to be caught, not to be arrested.
And go to those that don't have it.
If we have this across the whole state, they will be forced to leave the state; the coragidos will hardly be able to remain in the state in that situation.
Another point I also think is important is to have the collaboration of the municipalities.
