   Today Brazil bids farewell to two giants of our dramaturgy. Glória Menezes and Laura Cardoso helped tell the story of our country with talent, delicacy and a presence that spanned generations. Glória, my fellow townswoman from Pelotas, was one of Brazil's greatest actresses. She built a career that is intertwined with the very history of Brazilian dramaturgy. In theater, cinema and television, she brought to life characters that became part of the country's fond memory and carried the name of our city across Brazil. For me, this loss also hits harder because of the friendship and affection I have for her family. To dear Tarcísio Meira Filho, Mocita Fagundes and all relatives, my warm embrace in this moment of sorrow. Glória leaves behind an immense body of work, but she also leaves the affection, the admiration and the longing of those who had the privilege of knowing her and sharing in her generosity. Pelotas loses one of its most illustrious daughters, and Brazil, an unforgettable artist. Glória and Laura are two women who made art a way to touch generations and who now remain alive in each character, in each scene and in the memory of all of us. My condolences to the family, friends and to all who today bid farewell to these two great artists.
