I have an initiative, which is perhaps more controversial, aimed right at the top: for us to confront corruption.
Not only when it happens at the front lines of public policy, but also when it happens up there, among those who are really in charge.
And Brazil has this bizarre thing, which is, for example, rewarding a judge who is caught committing a crime with compulsory retirement.
That's a hornet's nest.
I have a bill to put an end to that kind of thing.
Not only targeting all the privileges that public-service elites have, but also the practice of awarding compulsory retirement to someone who was caught committing a crime.
And I think also, not just being against it, but actually doing things very differently.
We have a lot of corruption with parliamentary amendments.
I'm even in favor of drastically reducing parliamentary amendments, but I also run a public call for amendments so people can submit projects and so we can have participation with everyone voting.
So, a selection process: when composing a team, I already ran a selection process together with other parliamentarians that had more than 17,000 applicants.
So another way to oppose bad practices in politics is to innovate.
And it's about setting an example that goes the other way.
And then, going back to Iulula, what I find funniest... is that there's a lot of difficulty, not only in Bolsonarism on the far right, but also on the far left, in criticizing corruption when it happens within your own camp.
I've never refrained from criticizing — whether it's a PT government, PSDB, Bolsonaro, whatever it may be.
I did criticize Mensalão, I did criticize Petrolão, I strongly criticized the jewelry and involvement with militias and all the allegations and houses bought with cash during Bolsonaro's government.
I signed... the CPMI to investigate the INSS.
I'm bold enough to say something that the deputy already changed a bit, which is: what?
It actually began under the Temer government.
It grew exponentially under Bolsonaro's government and yes, it continued to happen under Lula's government.
And whoever was involved in those three governments must go to jail.
But I'll go back to talking about the 'PEC da bandidagem' issue.

Because the 'PEC da bandidagem', in my view — this 'shielding PEC' — is also a response to the INSS scandal.
Everyone knows that this INSS scandal has politicians from various parties involved, including from the Centrão.
And everyone was afraid because of the involvement with the PCC, the embezzlement of amendments, this INSS crisis.
So the 'PEC da bandidagem' was an effort to shield those politicians.
And then Bolsonarism, which always claimed to be against corruption, goes and votes in favor.
That's the kind of incoherence.
