The Rio de Janeiro police carried out another major operation today to combat the criminal factions that have been terrorizing my state.
And the Secretary of Public Security made a bombshell revelation.
He asked the Lula government for logistical support for the latest operations in Complexo do Alemão and Penha, to use armored vehicles from the Armed Forces, for example, which was denied.
And today, once again, our police received no support from the federal government.
This only reinforces what Lula thinks about the fight against organized crime.
It wasn't just empty talk when he said that traffickers are victims of drug users.
He actually thinks that way.
Remember the images of those prisoners celebrating Lula's election back in 2022?
That says a lot about which side he is on.
There's no use issuing a little note saying he was misunderstood, because his actions confirm it.

Our duty is to free these people from the nightmare they are facing.
Rio suffers the consequences of DPF 635, which was an action taken in the STF (Supreme Federal Tribunal) by the PSB, the Socialist Party of Brazil, an ally of the Lula government, which made police actions much more difficult, strengthened the criminal factions and turned Rio into a true resort for traffickers from all over Brazil who came here believing they would be more protected to commit their crimes.
In this operation alone today there were at least 18 scoundrels killed.

While Rio lives through this war, the Lula government simply washes its hands and the mainstream media, instead of praising the right side, which is our police, focuses on the number of criminals killed in the operation, who reacted to the police action with thousands of rifle shots, burning barricades and, believe it or not, even drones with bombs.
An unjustifiable disservice to the law-abiding population.
They come from other states, such as Pará, Bahia and Espírito Santo, which shows that the Lula government does not do its part in combating crimes that go beyond the borders of Rio de Janeiro and also does absolutely nothing to prevent assault rifles from crossing Brazil's borders and reaching the hands of these criminals.
I know that Lula is very busy taking international trips, staying in luxury hotels with Janja, burning through hundreds of millions of reais of our tax money, while the Brazilian people suffer from widespread violence.
Last week, we approved in the Senate the package against violent crimes which, among various measures, prevents these dangerous criminals from being released already at the custody hearing and creates the autonomous crime of illegal possession of an assault rifle with a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
and prevents members of criminal factions from obtaining progression of regime or parole.
Thus, they will be forced to serve the sentence in full.
In other words, the dynamic of the police arresting and the judiciary releasing the criminals, who return to commit their barbaric crimes, sometimes on the same day they were released, will end.
I will ask the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Deputy Hugo Mota, to put this bill on the agenda as soon as possible.
which will be the toughest blow to organized crime this country has ever seen.
Let's see if Lula will veto or turn this bill into law when it reaches his desk.
Then we'll see whether he is on the side of the real victims or on the side of the criminals.
