Look, Brazil is going through a very troubled moment, with serious geopolitical problems, great difficulty in reducing the cost of doing business in Brazil; this is an internal problem of ours, and because of that the country has been losing competitiveness.
When the country loses competitiveness, it is a problem for all Brazilians, because our competitiveness is vital for us to win markets abroad, for our products to be exported.
And so that our products also become more competitive compared to imported products.
So every time Brazil loses competitiveness, in fact the Brazilian population is being impoverished.
Opportunities stop being created.
That's why we need to quickly restore a policy to reduce the cost of doing business in Brazil.
Since the beginning of Lula's government, 170 billion have been added.
in bureaucratic regulatory costs per year for those who produce in Brazil.
What does this mean for the population?
That everything you buy has become 170 billion more expensive.
In other words, your purchasing power has fallen.
And furthermore, imported products are not paying that cost.
So more imported product is coming in and thereby taking opportunities away from Brazilians.
Our objective is to do exactly the opposite.
It is to make Brazilian industry... the Brazilian productive sector more competitive and displace other players in international trade.
Unfortunately this is not happening, and events like this are fundamental so that this issue can be discussed frankly, openly, among everyone, so that we can make the necessary course correction.

Is it a chance to hear the federal government as well, to speak with the federal government as well, to understand the demands of the sector, of businesspeople?
Perfect.
The federal government has been listening, it's just not implementing.
It needs action now, listening is no longer enough.
We have, in general, pressed very insistently over these three years and nothing has been done.
It's time for action.
It's time to listen again, but it's time to execute.
