The Lula government never supported taxing PIX.
Quite the opposite.
The one who always advocated taxing PIX was Bolsonaro's former Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes.
He always talked about taxing PIX.
What the Lula government proposed was something that already exists, but starting at 5,000 reais.
Today the Federal Revenue already receives information on transactions starting at 2,000 reais.
What the government wanted was to raise it to 5,000 reais in an attempt to constrain, to curb criminals.
People who move financial amounts in the billions far above their salaries.
And maybe this is what the far-right wants to hide.
Maybe these are the fears of the far-right.
And that's why they use you as a mechanism to protect themselves, to protect their friends.
Those who want you to have exhausting workdays, not to have the right to rest, who are against the idea that you shouldn't pay income tax — as the Lula government defends, that people who earn... up to five thousand reais, not pay it to the government.
And they are against it.
They who voted inside the Chamber for taxing the little blouse.
They who never promoted any kind of proposal to meet the real needs of the people and the working class.
They who never looked at workers with respect and dignity.
They who despise the street vendor, the popsicle seller, the people who work hard in this country.
They who luxuriate while the people truly work and now present themselves before the people.
With a lie, presenting themselves as defenders of the people.
You need to get informed and you must not fall for this wave of attack and lies.
While they buy mansions with cash, while they defend that their billionaire businessman friends don't pay any kind of tax — owners of art, ships, mansions — and you keep working exhausting shifts of 8, 10, 14, 15 hours to sustain the big party they've always had.
This is the true truth they have always wanted to hide.
This is the true face of the far-right.
A far-right that, when it was in power, put people in line for contraô.
Returned Brazil to the map of misery and hunger, did not give a real increase to the minimum wage, did not combat unemployment, continued carousing, carousing with the rachadinhas, with the jewels they saw, while the people worked hard to sustain the luxury and the party.
We must also put on the table another debate that they so hate.
The regulation of social networks, because by regulating social networks we will be able to combat these criminals and their crimes.
