I don't really think of politics as this little ladder.
And largely because this wasn't a place I sought out or dreamed of.
My life is very extraordinary in the sense that I was born in an occupation (informal settlement).
I'm the daughter of a house cleaner and a bus fare collector.
I spent much of my childhood being told I'd end up on drugs like my father, as people said, that my brother and I would be good for nothing.
Only God knows how much my mother and father sacrificed for us to be here.
It even moves me because my parents didn't finish high school.
And they put both their children through college.
By educating us, getting us into church and instilling values.
So, ten years ago... I didn't even know if I was going to get out, you know?
Whether I would be able to build a different future 15 years ago.
So God has been very generous to me.
And what I always say is, as long as God gives me strength, gives me opportunity, I will fight.
Where my fight fits best.
I really believe that today my fight is in the National Congress.
I carry a dream of one day being able to serve the city of São Paulo.
Besides that, the future belongs to God, it's with Him — let's get to work.
and keep serving, understand that you can serve in the church, as I served for many years, you can serve in a social project, in a classroom, you can serve in the National Congress.
I think the most important thing is that we don't stop.

Deputy, you mentioned at the end of the previous segment a project called PIX Pensão.

Please explain it to us.
This is a wonderful project because it's simple and it will help millions of mothers in Brazil who today, unfortunately, raise their children alone.
And without the father's support.
We know that when the father is employed under CLT, and there is a court-ordered garnishment, there's a payroll deduction.
So he doesn't even have a choice.
The child support is paid regularly every month to the child.
But some fathers, unfortunately many, often choose not to receive their pay through CLT because they want to be paid off the books.
so they don't have to pay child support.
As if that support were a lot, which it never is, and as if that support were for the mother, when in reality it's for the child.
And every mother knows that child support doesn't cover anything, right?
Because raising a child is very costly.
So, what we presented in the National Congress, in the Chamber of Deputies, is moving very fast because women embraced it.
It's a project that was suggested by an employee of the Central Bank, Luísa Rodrigues, who said, "Tabata, PIX already exists, it's super simple."
Why not create PIX Pensão?
When there is a court order, every month, on the exact day and time, the PIX transfers from the father's account to the mother's account, to avoid mistakes.
So there's no humiliation, so we don't have the whole situation I see with some of my friends — I know it's a lot of humiliation and a lot of struggle.
