Vitória, the way elections in Brazil are structured, in fact, there is always a second round.
And it is there, in the second round, that effectively, normally, the left and the right set up their platforms.
In the first round, if things stay as they are, the right will actually be consolidated behind my candidacy, because the other parties are centrist parties.
There will be a PSDB candidacy and one from the Federation.
The right is effectively the PL.
So, if Senator Cleitinho does not come, we will only have one right-wing candidacy.
If he comes, we will have two right-wing candidacies, and the one that performs best with voters will be representing the right in the second round, for sure.
And then the debate will intensify.
So, from the standpoint of the democratic process, ideally, the PL worked for a single candidacy in the right-wing camp, for a sole candidacy.
The PL waited 120 days during that uncertainty over Senator Cleitinho's candidacy.
Since that was not possible, the PL decided to put my name forward.
My name is there as a mission, as a purpose.
I took on that mission and I have the support of the entire party.
And now we will go.
To present the PL's proposals for Minas Gerais, and we will work so that these proposals are victorious at the polls.
And if they are not, we will support the best candidate who is in a position to face the left in the second round.
