It's hard to try to understand, but funny that you mention that column, which I think must have been from 2015, 2016 — I wouldn't write that column today because at the time I talked about fleeing by bicycle to Uruguay it was a joke.

I think that, first of all, there is a very rapid and very complex change, and it's very difficult to understand and to cover as the press.

I told people at Folha a lot during the elections that it was more important to cover the sons' tweets than to cover the official statements about what the tax incentive policy for farmers would be.

That the main message being sent to the public, and what made people vote for him, wasn't tax incentives for soy producers, it wasn't how he would conduct foreign policy — those are things of the old politics, in the good sense of old politics, of a government program to be analyzed.
