If someone attacked my wife, my mother or my daughter, I have no doubt about what I would do, because a man defends his dignity, and I would not support any attempt to have a mandate revoked.

Removing the mandate of a parliamentarian elected by the population, with votes — we are all politicians here and know how difficult it is to be elected — is a very serious matter.
And I have no doubt that no Deputy here is pleased that, at a time when we should be working for the people, we have to literally waste time discussing these matters.
From Deputy Glauber Braga's speech, I was convinced that he is not corrupt; but he is a liar, I'm sure.
Why? The argument he presented about why he kicked a person who was asking questions and provoking him — as many of us are provoked here every day — is a lie.
He said that his mother was assaulted and that, for that reason, he reacted.
That is not established at any point as proven in his defense; I want to make that very clear.
So, it's an alibi created to elicit our sympathy.
Why do I say that? Because if he were, Deputy Chico, defending his dignity against an attack on his family, his wife, or his father, I confess he would be correct.
If I am walking here in these corridors, and someone attacks my daughter, my wife, my mother or my father, a man defends his dignity.
Come on! He will see the person he married being, perhaps, driven away, slandered and defamed and remain passive?
No! We are peaceful, but not passive. Jesus himself, when he saw the Pharisees doing business in the name of his Father, rose up and said: "Pharisees, brood of vipers!" If someone today had that attitude, that impulse, they might be called something else.
So, what am I saying?
That Glauber's lie prevented him from reaching the truth.
And what is the truth? The truth is that, in very similar and even worse situations, there was no mercy that they are now so loudly pleading for.
I want to give some examples here. Deputy Jean Wyllys, here in this chamber, spat in the face of then-Deputy Jair Bolsonaro, and also spat in the face of Eduardo Bolsonaro.
Deputy Camila Jara, here in this chamber, assaulted me.
If it had been the other way around, I ask you gentlemen what would have happened to me.
A PT deputy slapped Deputy Messias, who is here.
This happened in front of me; I saw it, no one told me.

And nothing happened either. There is another PT Deputy — whose name I will not mention, but who has been here a long time and has already had some run-ins with Jair Bolsonaro — who is in a video, when walking by herself, bumps into Daniel Silveira and presents herself as if she had been assaulted by Daniel Silveira, gentlemen.
The video is surreal! And Daniel Silveira has been imprisoned for 4 years.
I want to make this clear to you gentlemen: whoever strikes and commits injustice and cowardice forgets, because the next day he went home, saw his children and celebrated, as Glauber celebrated.
And I want to remind you gentlemen — open quote, because it's Glauber Braga speaking: "(...) that the fellow be stripped of his mandate for his fascist actions.
His actions in seeking to close the regime are associated with a harmful far-right policy.
It is by removing his mandate that he loses steam in his ambitions".
Mr. Glauber, how are you asking that I be something different from what you yourself are now?
Why do you want mercy, when you did not have it for someone who is simply imprisoned for 4 years, for words.
Do I disagree with what Daniel Silveira said? I disagree! I have even told him that — I disagree.
I don't think such words will make Brazil prosper.
But your lack of clemency brought him here.
