We have a secretary of public security whom I strongly disagree with.
I'm talking about Derrite.
But what is important for us to understand here?
Derrite is a candidate next year.
So, the actions he takes as secretary are not aimed at the security of our state, but at his candidacy.
Recently, Derrite made a statement that, to me, was a gross mistake: that we should not allow public insecurity.
In another country, he would have risked losing his job.
When he spoke — no, regarding the methanol crisis.
He said — no, organized crime, the PCC, wouldn't make money doing that, by adulterating beverages.
It's absurd to suggest that it's the PCC.
Anyone with even a minimal understanding of criminal organizations in Brazil knows that today fuel adulteration, for example, is more profitable for the PCC than selling drugs on the street corner.
Those who study public security know that the PCC is involved in cargo theft, multiple adulterations, as I already said, various markets, even in matters related to fintechs.
And as if such a gross mistake by someone who is in a state where this criminal organization was born and operates primarily weren't enough, the same Derrite has been arguing that the solution to all problems is to equate a criminal faction with a terrorist organization.
I know it's difficult, in these moments of such emotion, but also of so much polarization, for us to calm down, look at the facts, and have a deep debate.
But it's very serious.
These conceptual errors of a candidate who says, look... I have no idea what I'm doing, as long as I go viral and win next year's election.
I know my words are harsh.
And those who follow me know that I'm not one to attack gratuitously.
I'm focused on my work.
Now, I'm very worried.
Very, very worried.
Because we live here.
Because my family lives on the outskirts.
Because I have already lost countless people I loved deeply.
