And that's how I worked: when we made the Movimento Brasil Livre documentary about the Revolution of 1932, Cruzeiro was a city that gained deserved prominence because of its history, its participation and the relevance it had for the Revolution, in which we lost militarily but were moral victors, because after the Constitutionalist Revolution, shortly thereafter an actual Constitution came, and Cruzeiro played a historic role not only for the State of São Paulo but also for the country.
And today, the strategic importance that Cruzeiro and the whole Paraíba Valley region have for the State of São Paulo — a productive region, one of the most productive regions of the State of São Paulo, and consequently of the country.
Well located, not by accident.
We talk up all of this and sell it, mayor, to Coca-Cola to bring them to the city — in our effort, which has been very great.
The last meeting I had in Brasília was with the Association of Sugary Beverages and we discussed this issue.
I have no doubt that, because of the logistical needs, because of the water needs that Coca-Cola's factory has, the city of Cruzeiro, without any doubt, is the best place to receive it.
And we're working so that this happens.
The Coca-Cola representative — the first message she wakes up to in the morning is from the mayor and
the last one she receives is also from the mayor.
So I'm a witness to this effort that's being made.
And just to say that I receive this title with great honor and great humility.
