I want an active Senate, with Marcel there, with Marinho as president, impeaching ministers when these absurdities are happening, changing the rules.

This Congress made a decision that did not change your lives, because you remained free, but it changed the life of Daniel Silveira, who was the first to have his mandate revoked by this House and who is imprisoned to this day.

He could not see his daughter grow up, he stayed in Bangu, a place where criminals like Fernandinho Beiramar were imprisoned.

This House laughed mockingly at this family man.

If Parliamentarians have any doubt about how to vote or how to proceed, bear in mind that not a single, absolutely no, Deputy here in this House who engaged in a rachadinha scheme has been stripped of their mandate.

This is civic and institutional courage that Your Excellency has, the same you have now, to set things straight regarding this shielding of Parliamentary mandates.

Your Excellency positions yourself, giving due processing, and, together with Senator Otto Alencar, establishes what is the spirit of the Senate — so much so that it was voted unanimously in the CCJ — rejecting the idea of an excess of parliamentary prerogatives in the scope of police investigations.

Mr. President, if any Deputy commits a crime, he will go to jail, yes.
