Inclusive education

This issue of people with disabilities in public school... It's a fight I took on at the beginning of the century.

That 400,000 children—400,000 children—were receiving the BPC.

Are you going to replace a specialized professional with an assistant, a helper, to handle such a sensitive issue as inclusion?

Because do you know what will happen?

Because inclusion not only educates the person with a disability, it educates those without disabilities, it educates people about diversity, to respect others, to understand what difference is.

But you cannot take away my son's right to be together with yours.

Just to pick up on that, I'm a teacher in the Municipal Education System; I was previously a professional in the State Education System.

I know I skipped protocol, but... Since we're talking about inclusion, effective inclusion is necessary for all students, so that they actually have the education they deserve in schools, and not outside them.
