Tabata Amaral: PSB recommends "yes". I would like to congratulate President Hugo Motta on this historic vote.
Tabata Amaral: I thank the Rapporteur, Deputy Arthur Lira, and our Leader, Deputy Pedro Campos, for having accepted two suggestions we made, one of them ensuring that any excess revenue will be used to reduce the tax on consumption, which is so high in our country.
Our second suggestion was that the Income Tax table be reviewed, which has not been adjusted for 10 years, Mr. President, and what is contemplated in the text is that, by next year, the Government present a national policy to revise that table, ensuring that middle-class income is not eroded year after year because of inflation.
Tabata Amaral: We charge less from those who have less and more from those who have more.
Tabata Amaral: Thus, 10 million Brazilians will benefit. What a historic vote!
