Simone Tebet: When we talk about the IDEB, for example, we are talking about the state that collects the most revenue in Brazil and that should be the benchmark.
For Brazil in terms of education — not only primary but also secondary — it is not. We are, according to IDEB indices, around sixth or seventh among the states, losing out to very small states in the Brazilian Northeast.
Simone Tebet: So what I expect from the other side is a commitment to the truth, to the numbers, and that we don't have fake news in any debate going forward.
