Sérgio Moro: They said it could not be done, they said that, if it were done, there would be a retaliation against the country, there would be a nationwide wave of attacks by the PCC.
Sérgio Moro: With the precautions that were taken... And several agencies were involved: the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, the Federal Police, the Federal Highway Police, the Federal Penitentiary Police, the Civil Police of São Paulo, the Military Police of São Paulo, the Armed Forces, and the São Paulo state penitentiary officers.
In fact, we put the whole country on alert so that there would be no reaction from the PCC.
Sérgio Moro: We had a successful transfer, without incidents, and we did not have, subsequently, a rebellion — let us put it that way — by the PCC against the population, against the authorities, as had occurred back in 2006.
Sérgio Moro: For that we had courageous people in command of the respective institutions and agencies, and Delegate Ruy Fontes, then Delegate-General of the Civil Police, was one of those brave men who put himself and his services forward to do what had to be done, so that we could tirelessly combat organized crime.
