Sérgio Moro: And what we saw was a gang that robbed retirees and pensioners, including with well-founded suspicion of payment of bribes, of kickbacks, to high officials of the INSS: to the President of the INSS, appointed during the current Lula Government; to the Chief Prosecutor of Benefits of the INSS, appointed during the current Lula Government; to the Director General of Benefits, appointed during the Lula Government.
Sérgio Moro: They should all be imprisoned; that is what we have been advocating.
But here we have the opportunity to approve a bill that shuts off the valve that allowed the theft from those retirees.
Sérgio Moro: And enough of us thinking about stopgap solutions; we must immediately cut off the source of the problem.
Sérgio Moro: So the bill is meritorious, it has my support, and with it we will protect millions of retirees and pensioners in the country against further fraud and theft.
