Sérgio Moro: Mr. President, in the wake of the clarifications made by the distinguished Rapporteur, Senator Weverton, I would also like, since I took part in that discussion, to emphasize that we are preserving the essence of the Clean Record Law through the editorial amendments adopted here, because they preserve the current rules — namely ineligibility for eight years after serving the sentence — for those categories of more serious crimes.
We saw, Senator Weverton, last week the risk we face if we do not put a wall between the world of crime and the economic sphere.

Sérgio Moro: We have criminal organizations with enormous power, such as those involved in drug trafficking and violent crimes, which are increasingly inserting themselves into the economic domain and, likewise, into the political domain.
