What I wanted to record publicly here is that this is the first opportunity I've had to speak in the Senate since the awarding of the Nobel Prize, and I had to make sure I could deliver this speech, to pay tribute to this defender of democracy, of freedom, and of human rights in Latin America; a woman of whom we can all be proud.
