Samara Martins: So it ends up being a demand that is very much ours.
Samara Martins: And our fear of having to go to a UPA with our child with a fever in the middle of the night is enormous.
You want... everything in life, but you shouldn't have to go to a UPA with a child who's getting sick, because you don't know if you'll be seen in time for them to be treated.
Samara Martins: So... public security also matters, to the extent that violence against women rises a lot and we end up not feeling safe anywhere — not in our homes, not on the street, nowhere — and so we suffer all forms of violence: domestic, sexual, political. In fact, right now I'm the only female pre-candidate for the presidency, and that already shows how patriarchal, misogynistic and sexist our system still is. So it's also a concern for women, but this issue of health is very much in that sense.
Samara Martins: We think about the family in general, and not just about ourselves.
