What Nikolas Ferreira said about approve legislation criminalizing acts of misogyny in the Chamber of Deputies

Today the Chamber of Deputies voted on the urgency motion for the 'PL of Misogyny'. I voted against it. I don't agree that a bill with subjective wording and open-ended concepts should advance in this way. The most ironic thing is that many of those who defended this bill today voted against increasing penalties for rapists and against lowering the age of criminal responsibility. In other words, a bunch of scoundrels trying to take advantage of the election year to deceive women. But the truth always prevails. Protecting women requires coherence and effective laws, not poorly drafted, ideological bills like this one. Now they still need to approve it on the merits. I will work hard against it.
