Kim Kataguiri: I think that, well, it's indefensible that a drug trafficker or a propagandist for criminal factions... is imprisoned, or, in the case of Oruan, for example, recently on the run — he isn't anymore, but he was — and continues using social media as if nothing were happening.
Kim Kataguiri: And often using social media to keep committing crimes.
So I established that as one of the precautionary measures, also because if a judge can order pretrial detention on the grounds that the person will coerce a witness or might flee, it makes no sense that he wouldn't have this power, because, as the maxim goes, who can do more can do less.
Kim Kataguiri: So it makes no sense that he can put someone in prison and that same person, even while imprisoned, by having access to a cellphone or through a third party using their social media, continues committing crimes on their social media, keeps selling drugs, spreading pedophilia, recruiting people for factions.
Kim Kataguiri: So this bill goes in that direction.
