Kim Kataguiri: Every time we invested in refineries so Brazil would not depend on the world, what happened?
Kim Kataguiri: At Abreu e Lima and in Pasadena, there were major corruption scandals in which PT governments plundered our country, using refineries that should have been used so we could be self-sufficient, so we wouldn't need to import diesel, so we wouldn't have to import any petroleum derivative.
Today we have our own oil production, we are self-sufficient in crude oil, we export oil, but we still need to import derivatives because we don't have refineries capable of meeting the national market.
Kim Kataguiri: I heard all kinds of nonsense here — and mind you, I'm no specialist in the oil and gas sector — but, just by knowing a little more than the basics, I wouldn't say such big nonsense as: "Look, the problem is the distributor's sale".
Kim Kataguiri: Folks, a distributor is not responsible for refining, for our not having diesel here, for us not being self-sufficient in petroleum derivatives.
