I often say that relations between Brazil and Japan are the best diplomatic relations we have, because, depending on our President and depending on the prime ministers, the heads of state and government in Europe, for example, we sometimes have stormy relations with European leaders, depending on who leads Brazil and who leads the European countries.
Kim Kataguiri: Now, regardless of that, throughout all these years — and we celebrated the Brazil-Japan Treaty of Friendship not long ago — regardless of who has governed Brazil in the last 100 years, regardless of who has governed Japan in the last 100 years, our relations have always been good. Our relations have always been state-to-state relations; they have endured governments and survived the different ideological positions of those governments.
We have a unique opportunity at this moment to strengthen our ties even further. Thank you all.
