LULA É O MAIOR INIMIGO DO POBRE E ROMEU ZEMA TE PROVA ISSO | Romeu Zema no Programa Entrevisões

"Good morning, Lourenço."

"Good morning, listener of Rádio Clube FM of Santo Ângelo."

"It's a great pleasure to be there with you this Friday morning, commenting on politics, on Brazil's future, on what we most aspire to: a more serious, more prosperous, more just country."

"Wonderful!"

"I confess it's a relief to be able to hear the governor's voice."

"We had some technical problems here at the start of the program."

"I want to first thank Prado Materiais de Construção."

"I want to thank Prado Materiais de Construção and also say that our great supporter here is Artema Móveis e Decorações."

"which has been in the market in Santo Ângelo for 32 years, transforming spaces with quality, trust and great care in every detail."

"With its own production of custom-made pieces, Artema develops personalized projects for residences and commercial environments."

"So, in addition to having its own production, they also have an in-house team of architects and decorators to improve your home environment or your business environment."

"We also count on the support here of Dr."

"Rafael Fontoura, angiologist and vascular surgeon."

"He takes care of your circulation health, of the veins and arteries, promoting more health, comfort and quality of life."

"He works in the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins, thromboses and arterial diseases and other changes in blood circulation."

"Healthy circulation means more energy, more well-being and more peace of mind to live better."

"I also want to thank Prado Material de Construção and praise the great voluntary work he does through the Letícia Prado Foundation, helping to renovate the ilos, anyway, helping the lives of those who need it most."

"I want to send a greeting here to the Santo Ângelo resident, Mr. Luiz Carlos Prado."

"Zema, I'll start by perhaps bringing up what most marked Minas Gerais."

"in a not-so-positive way, and perhaps the way we started the program here with some technical problems."

"On January 25, 2019, you had been a public manager for only 25 days, a guy who had spent his whole life as a private manager."

"Only 25 days after taking office as governor of Minas Gerais, the Brumadinho disaster occurred."

"Which, obviously, was not under your control, under your management, but, for better or worse, you were the governor of the state of Minas."

"How was it to manage that crisis and deliver, amid the tragedy, a quality administration for the people of Minas?"

"Lorenzo, it really was a great tragedy."

"272 lives were lost."

"people literally buried by mud."

"I was there several times; to this day the city suffers the consequences of that tragedy, since everyone lost a friend, lost an acquaintance, lost some loved one."

"But we tried, Lorenzo, to do what was possible to ease that human suffering."

About: apply penalties to companies responsible for environmental disasters and use funds to repair damages

"and also to punish the company that caused that tragedy."

About: apply penalties to companies responsible for environmental disasters and use funds to repair damages

"And on that occasion, we imposed the largest penalty applied in Brazil up to that time, in the amount of 37 billion reais, and all of that sum has been used either to compensate the victims, those affected, or... for works to compensate the people of Minas who suffered so much."

About: strengthen safety and prevent dam failures

"But perhaps the greatest advance, Lorenzo, was in the change in legislation that we promoted, so that that type of tragedy never happens again in Minas Gerais."

"So, I am very satisfied."

"that we are now, on January 25 — next week — completing seven years without any occurrence of anything similar."

"In other words, we made a difference."

About: strengthen safety and prevent dam failures

"Because when something similar happened in 2015, under the PT government in Minas Gerais, which was the tragedy of Mariano, they did nothing to change that scenario."

"And three years later, right at the start of '19, we had something even worse than Mariana, which cost many more lives."

About: strengthen safety and prevent dam failures

"And with each passing day, Lourenço, the risk decreases, because we are dismantling all the dams that pose a risk."

About: strengthen safety and prevent dam failures

"Of the 54 that posed some type of risk, they are already completely decommissioned, dismantled."

"And the others are in that process."
